公海彩船: 课题组简介
研究内容:
我们实验室的主要目标是设计用于神经科学技术发展的工具性蛋白质。这个目标的检测性成果将是在动物大脑中实现从头设计的蛋白质功能。不同于自然界天然存在的蛋白质结构与功能的复杂性,从头设计的全新蛋白质符合结构简单功能单一的模块化要求,具有发展成为用于研究复杂生物体系的分子工具的有利条件。我们通过计算机设计自然界从未出现过的全新蛋白质并测试它们在细胞中的活性,来推进计算机设计蛋白质技术的进一步发展。我们聚焦于设计具有神经生理学功能的蛋白质,从而加速神经生物学家对大脑的解密。具体来说,我们实验室目前开展的课题有:1. 计算机设计和实验检测用于光遗传的全新光敏性蛋白质;2. 设计和优化全新门控离子通道在神经元中的表达和运输;3. 优化光控细胞膜融合工具及探索膜融合在神经细胞中的应用。
